in november 2024, i met allison while shooting for my photojournalism project. i decided to give their current branding some updates to match the hard work and care that sonnie and her family put into their business.
i wanted the rebrand to feel modern, but approachable, and also family-friendly and playful – something that could help sonnie’s be easily recognizable, have consistent branding across physical and digital platforms, and stay true to the original heart of the business.
to do this, i created a color palette based off of the original signage used on their lemonade trailer. i selected a primary and secondary font that complimented each other, but still had a handwritten feel to it. then, i modernized the logo to be scalable and used across physical displays. the finished rebrand creates uniformity and room for sonnie’s to expand and modernize, with a strong emphasis on their roots.
